Welcome to Connect Illinois’s interactive web mapping application—BroadbandStat. Here you can explore Illinois' broadband coverage. In addition, you will soon be able to use BroadbandStat to access the latest research about broadband adoption barriers across the state.

Please note: This map, as of March 31, 2010, includes data provided by 104 Illinois high-speed Internet providers. 97.96% of Illinois households have access to terrestrial fixed broadband service of at least 768Kbps downstream and 200Kbps upstream (excluding mobile and satellite services) - leaving approximately 93,510 unserved households – or 2.04% - that do not have access to a fixed wireless or wired broadband service offering. With mobile broadband service included, 99.71% or 4,578,642 Illinois households have access to broadband service of at least 768Kbps downstream and 200Kbps upstream.

Providers: As part of the State Broadband Data and Development grant program, this map will be periodically updated with data from additional participating providers and when new service areas are identified. Connect Illinois wants to encourage all providers to participate. There is an informational page on the website for broadband providers.
