The Locate on the Map tool is an address finder that geocodes an address location and returns matching in order of score ranking. Based on the ranked scores, the map display navigates to the highest ranked result. A binocular icon is added to the map display to indicate the geocoded address or location.
To locate an address, follow the steps outlined below.
From the toolbar, click Mapping Tools.
Click the Locate option. The Locate widget opens to the Address Locator by default.
Enter a U.S. street address.
Click Search. The match displays in the results pane of the Locate widget. A highlighted pushpin is added to the map.
Hover your mouse cursor over the returned results. The pushpin associated with the selected result will flash to indicate the location of the result on the map.
